Lying in Relationships

If you are in a relationship you obviously really like and care for that person. If this is true then why would you lie to risk the chance of that breaking the relationship apart? The reason is simple because the liar wants to make their situation better no matter what the circumstance is. They maybe feel pressure to look good or to do something because of that special person so they lie and get things or they mess up and still really care about that person so they have to lie to try and cover up their mistakes so hopefully what he or she did wrong does not mess up the relationship but then if they get caught lying they would be in more trouble but in some cases I guess you have to take that chance. Lying is in every relationship whether it is just with your friend, or with your parents or with your girl friend or boy friend the only thing is your friends and parents are more likely to forgive and forget.

Lying in school

Lying is everywhere in today's world. Being in college there is many lies here. Many students I am sure lie about not going to class or on certain assignment. I am sure it happens everyday in college. I do not know why kids are just not honest or just do not say anything at all. College is a big place for lying like this and I have really noticed it this since I started college.

Cultural Lies

Lying is indeed a cooperative act. People show this everyday with some of these cultural lies. I am going to tell you some examples of these cultural lies. I was watching CNN last night and it had the republican town hall on. They asked Trump about George W. Bush lying when he declared the war on Terror. George W. Bush said that there was weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when there was not and that was his reasoning for the war. He lied to everyone and got us as a nation in a big mess. Another is that Muslims are all bad or are all terrorists. This is not true. There are many Muslims that do not kill or do terrorists attacks but the few that do make the others look bad. As a country I think we cannot take the risk on of having these people in the country because yeah all aren't bad but enough are. It is in their religion to kill that is just my view but I do not believe that all are bad. Those are just a few of many cultural lies in this country.

Lying on dating websites

Lying on dating websites is very common even if it is just by a few pounds on a persons weight or a few inches on their height. One of the biggest for lying is probably tinder, because you do not have to put any real information on their it is more of a hook up site. With this comes a lot of catfish or people lying about who they actually are and what they actually look like this is true on other websites but especially on tinder. This is just another example of lying and how people lie to one another.

Lying during the Iowa Caucus

There is lying all throughout politics. The most obvious recent lie was during the Iowa Caucus. A rumor was thrown out there about Ben Carson and how he planned to drop out. Ted Cruz used that and told many of his supporters and people in Iowa that Ben Carson was going to drop out to try and steal his votes and that is what he did. He stole his votes and ended up beating Donald Trump. Ben Carson is likely to drop out soon but he was at least going to finish the Iowa caucus and has recently finished the New Hampshire Primary so maybe the people that told Ted Cruz and his people that Ben Carson was dropping out maybe they lied or maybe it was all Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz sent out a letter to his supporters and talked about how Ben Carson was going to drop out so he stole votes. Either way he was part of the lie and it was wrong. I am just happy Donald Trump won the New Hampshire primary.

Lying to yourself

We lie everyday. Most of the time its to other people but actually some people lie to their selves. They do not want to believe a certain thing and just brush it off even though it matters. The reasoning for lying to themselves is the same as lying to others to try and protect themselves and make their situation better. Most of the time we and me included do not think of lying like that. We actually lie to ourselves often but do not think nothing of it. This is just another way of lying and a way that most people do not think of or even consider lying.

Cheating

The topic for this class since the beginning has been lying and deception. These two words go together but are not the same thing. We are now talking about cheating. Cheating also ties into these but is a form of deception not lying. Cheating you are not really lying your deceiving a person about knowing something. You are not lying about knowing  you are deceiving the other person by cheating. Lying is used in text or speaking. Were deceiving is done by action rather than words. Cheating is an action that is deceiving someone. These all deserve to be in the same category and talked about together but it is important to know the difference between each one and that cheating is a sub category of deception.
